What Is Love
What is love? Love is the look of joy on your childs face ... for no reason in particular. Love is the help of a stranger who risks his own life to save yours. It's the gesture of kindness without the need for reciprocity.
It is a feeling, an emotion ... It's a prayer, a thought. It's what a community of people share when they have peace, happiness, and equality as a common goal for all.
Love is energy ... pure energy. It's a vibration that is experienced and felt. It doesn't have a face, race, or gender.
Love Is ...
It doesn't kill, shame, blame, or judge. It is a phenomenon, a magical mix of what appears and what is kept secret. Love never dies.
For ego-bound humans, love is mostly a mystery. It's a familiar memory of a timeless, spaceless, and egoless Self. Pride, it knows nothing of and abuse is of a foreign concept.
What is love? It's a state of being. It's who you are in your original essence ... your spiritual nature. When you are in concert with who you are, what you do, is an expression of that awareness.
When you are lost to self, your actions are in alignment with your unawareness.
Love is life at its highest form ... chosen for its highest purpose ... and for the greater good of all.
Some people get love confused with hate or think that they are just different sides of the same coin. Personally, I don't think that the two can fill the same space or place, nor do I believe that there is a fine line between love and hate.
When you love someone, you love them for life. Although that love may change forms, it never dies.
When hatred and selfishness become the mainstay in relationships that are ending or troubled, it is not love that has changed but more the realization that for one or both parties, love was never really present.
If you really want to know 'what is love,' there are many examples of what it isn't to get you looking in the right direction.
